What are we thinking about?

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I love this passage- it skips over all of our defenses about our 'righteous outward behavior' and gets right to what really matters- what is going on in our hearts. If your heart is set on things that are ungodly and untrue, then your actions will flow out of that, no matter how much you try to 'act' like a good Christian. Setting our hearts on the things of God should be our first defense mechanism against sin. If you don't do that, all of the boundaries in the world won't keep you in line.

Yes. It's one of my favorite passages. In fact, I have said before that I'd like it on my tombstone. Although I'd also like "You better get off me before I come up there" on my tombstone.

Good meditation; now if only I would practice that consistently.
